Milestone
In 2019, Dr. Rajan and Kotevski proposed a new classification for SCA, named Rajan's and Kotevski's Type IV (R-IV-C), which modified Lipton's classification. This classification system helps to identify the specific type of quadfurcation that occurs in a single coronary artery originating from the right aortic sinus. This new classification has the potential to assist clinicians in diagnosing and treating patients with single coronary artery anomalies.
Furthermore, Dr. Rajan has also invented Rajan's heart failure risk score, which is an important tool for clinicians to estimate the risk in patients suffering from "heart failure with reduced ejection fraction" (HFrEF). The heart failure risk score is a simple web-based tool (https://www.hfriskcalc.in) that helps clinicians estimate the risk. The heart failure risk score is an essential tool for clinicians to help them identify heart failure patients at high risk. By identifying risk in these patients early, clinicians can provide targeted interventions to improve outcomes.
In conclusion, Dr. Rajan and Kotevski's R-IV-C classification system and Rajan's heart failure risk score are important innovations in the field of cardiology. Together, these innovations have the potential to improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care provided to those with cardiac conditions.
